Latest News 2016 - The Acrylic Dome is Here! We started to explore having a acrylic dome fabricated for two purposes: allowing the sub to be tested to 10,000 feet to gather empirical data for the interface with the Quartz Dome, and to allow shallower, higher payload missions. This work is underway and we expect to have the Acrylic Dome around the end of June and be diving shortly thereafter. We will gather data on the carbon fiber pressure hull while diving and that data will help us create the optimum design for the Quartz Dome/Carbon interface. 


First Missions Announced. The first two missions will include the Undersea Chemical & Munitions Survey dedicated to improving the condition of the Ocean and The Sperm Whale/Giant Squid Chase in the interest of exploration and natural history/science. 


The Ocean has been our unfortunate dumping ground for centuries. Over the last 70 years, 150 million tons of Chemicals & Munitions were dumped; the United States has 1,000 dumping sites on each of its shores. Our goal is to visit enough of these sites to document their condition and the urgency of cleaning them up before the toxic chemicals enter the Ocean. The video documentation of tithes sites will be presented to Congress and given to advocacy groups to help further the mission.


The Sperm Whale/Giant Squid Chase goal is to follow sperm whales and great white sharks as they dive to feed on Giant Squid. We have virtually no knowledge of the Giant Squid in its environment, and only 90 seconds of footage of a Giant Squid. We will be going to their expected mating ground and diving to over 6,000 feet to try and film this elusive creature. Over 3 Billion are thought to exist on Earth!
